A Walk in the Park

We left the neighborhood later than usual because I had some work things to tend to. Because of work, today's entry will be mostly pictures from the morning walk. In the picture above is one of the many little libraries that are spread throughout the city. I can think of 8 of them, just off the top of my head. I read that in some communities, people are replacing the books with needed supplies of toilet paper and canned goods. Ours still have books. As we headed out to the parks, it was cloudy and 82 degrees with the wind blowing at 15 mph.
We cut through Hammock Park to use the facilities and learned a little bit about Scrubby Flatwoods. What a great name for a country singer.
Found the Easter Bunny recuperating from the day before.

Mira Vista Park was full, so we headed south to San Jose Park. The wind was making white caps on the water. The sun popped out for a few minutes.
The houses along the sound are impressive looking. John and I joked that, yeah, the houses are awesome and the views are fantastic, but you still have to bring the groceries in, fix the sprinkler heads, and, of course, pay the flood insurance. Maybe those things don't affect the rich, but I suspect they suffer from many of the same fears, disease, and longing that the rest of us feel, perhaps even more.

Next, we headed to Kiwanis Park, just a few blocks further south. In that short time, the clouds had moved in and the wind picked up.

I caught these flowers showing off before the clouds rolled in.

A neighbor put up this handsome Happy Easter sign in their driveway.
