We walked the causeway this morning when it was about 86 degrees, but the wind was blowing over 9 mph. To save time, we drove to Dollar General and walked to the entrance of Honeymoon Island and back. We picked up some items after the walk at DG and headed to Walmart to pick up some things we missed at Publix this week. Walmart was really busy. Everyone but one person had on a mask.
Do you see the little squirrel at the top of the palm tree eating nuts?
Lucky squirrel.
Dee Dee continues to adapt to her new condition. She is still wide in the chest from fluid build up, but she continues to function almost normally. She ate from a plate tonight on her own, without being hand fed. Her appetite is good.
She goes to see her doctor on Friday afternoon for a check up and refills on her medicines. I don't anticipate him making any changes or doing any procedures. He leaves for a two-week trip next week, so it's good that he'll be able to see her before he goes.
We went for an early evening walk at the community center because they have lots of shade trees.
We spilled some vinegar in the car on the way home from the grocery store. 😞
But I took advantage of the opportunity to clean the car mat and the back door welcome mat.
All things considered, we had a pretty good day.
Walked: 7.6 miles
