Sunday Boca Ciega Bay

We rode to the outskirts of St. Petersburg this afternoon on the Pinellas Trail, round trip over 40 miles. We turned around not far from Treasure Island. We liked this route. There are long stretches without crossing streets, thanks to overhead bridges. The many parks make it scenic.

We stopped for water and breaks at several parks along the way.

We finally made it to the long bridge over Boca Ciega Bay that separates the mainland from John's Pass and Treasure Island.

We started our causeway walk this morning before dawn and watched the sun come up before we finished.

We continue to heal from our loss. We have lots of gratitude for the time we got to spend with Dee Dee. We realize that the loss would be just as painful if it had been 5 years from now. Death always comes too soon. We both miss her and think about her.

Miles walked: 7.3
Miles biked (electric): 40.75

  1. You keep riding further and further. Treasure Island for goodness sake. You should have had a grouper sandwich at the beach.
