Wednesday

On our causeway walk this morning at 8:30, it was 77 degrees with the wind blowing about 7 mph.

The skies were mostly sunny and the water was clear.

After lunch, we headed to Wall Springs Park between Dunedin and Tarpon Springs, right on the Pinellas Trail. The picture above was taken from my phone holster on my bike as we traveled north on the trail, near mile 27 and 28 of the 50-mile trail (our exit on Palm Blvd is between mile markers 27 and 28). The trail begins in St. Petersburg and ends in Tarpon Springs, so we are about half way.

Wall Springs Park pier.

We took a small break and then headed south on the Pinellas Trail. We rode to the edge of Clearwater and back.

We stopped at Stevenson Creek, but did not spot any dolphins or manatees.

This is the last leg home to Watrous, by way of Palm Blvd.

I read an article on the president's rally yesterday in Ohio:

“It affects virtually nobody. It’s an amazing thing,” Trump said of the coronavirus, which has infected nearly 6.9 million Americans.
“It affects ... elderly people with heart problems and other problems - if they have other problems that’s what it really affects, that’s it,” he said, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Riding the trail is a great way to exorcise negative energy, but evil such as this cannot be expunged. There is no trail long enough.

Today's bike route

Miles biked: 26.5
Miles walked: 6

  1. I agree. There is no trail long enough! We have to let everyone we know to vote for Biden.

I am considering canvassing neighbors to vote.

  2. Country over party.
He says the only way he can lose the election is if Democrats cheat.
He refuses to say he’ll accept defeat.
He has already shown he is willing to use the military against his own people.
How long will Republican leaders go along with this threat to the peaceful transfer of power?
We are losing our democracy right before our eyes.
