This morning, we traveled out to Honeymoon Island to inspect the recent Tropical Storm Eta damage. The parking lot and beach crashed into one another, the curb above no longer holding the parking lot back from the beach.
It was overcast with the temperature in the mid-60s.
The parking lot crumbled onto the beach, and the beach encroached into the parking lot.
Fall colors on the island interior.
Toby taking a break.
Toby got to see his foster mom today at the Mobbly Bayou Dog Park in Oldsmar. We
arrived first. When she came in, he did not recognize her immediately,
but you could see the exact moment that he did. He started jumping for
joy, trying to lick her face. It was quite a sight to behold. He
remembered her and was very happy to see her again. He followed her around and kept jumping. It was so sweet.
After a few minutes of showering her with attention, he came over to where John and I were sitting, as if to re-assure us that he loved us, too.
She brought the little black dog above for a potential adoption. The dogs played nicely together, along with another white dog. They played together and walked around alone.
It was 75 degrees.
The
family adopting the black dog had adopted the white dog above a couple
of weeks ago, and found that the dog was depressed because she was used
to being around other dogs all the time. So the family wanted to adopt
another dog to give her companionship.
Good dog.

I am so glad the meeting went so well today. Dogs are amazing. I enjoyed Toby’s reaction to former Mom and other dogs. So sweet that he came back to John and seemed ready to get back in your car.
ReplyDeleteA good good dog. I can’t wait to meet him.
