We headed to Honeymoon Island after John's dental appointment this morning. It was 63 degrees and partly sunny. The wind made it a bit chilly, but it felt good to get outside.
Toby was intrigued by the gopher tortoise.
This is the practice putting green at the start of hole number one at the Dunedin Golf Course.

Morning snuggle time.
We cleared out our cupboards of canned goods that we haven't wanted to eat and
drove them to the food pantry in Clearwater. It's good to get some extra
room for the things we do use.
John pointed out that walking and biking with Toby is not the same as interacting with him. Toby likes to play, and it's kind of difficult because Toby uses his mouth like humans use their hands. If you play with him, sooner or later he will nip, usually accidentally when he's going after a ball or other toy.
A friend with a rambunctious puppy recommended a Squishy Face Studio Flirt Pole (pictured above), which is sort of like a fishing pole with a colorful and fluffy lure on the end. The toy allows you to interact with your dog at a safe distance, and it should also give them plenty of exercise. It makes sense because when Toby plays with other dogs it's mostly about darting back and forth and pouncing.
Today, John and I have both been hurt due to accidental collisions with Toby. This morning Toby's head and my jaw were aiming at the same space. We both walked away dazed and confused. Just now, Toby's head collided with John's nose.
We will all be looking out for our Amazon delivery soon.

Can’t wait to see the new toy. Sounds safer. I like the snuggle time photos. I had a good day. More later.
