No doubt about it. This was our 10th day of winter (temps never reaching 60 degrees). It was in the upper 40s when we took our first walk.
The skies were beautiful, but don’t let that fool you.
The wind was blowing 20 mph most of the day.
It did get up to 52, but it felt more like 32.
I think you get spoiled with warm weather. Everyone we ran into today was complaining, either that or talking up the super bowl, and Tampa’s good fortune.
In the last year, Tampa has won the World Series (Tampa Bay Rays), the Stanley Cup (Tampa Bay Lightning), and now has the chance to win the Super Bowl on Sunday (Tampa Bay Buccaneers). It’s a bounty of riches. We should keep the warm weather and let the folks up north have some of the championships.
John said I must immortalize our turkey/Swiss/tomato lunch sandwiches. I suggested that we grill them since it was so cold outside and we had time. Clearly, my grilling skills need some work. After we scraped off the burnt layer, they were pretty good.
I’m learning to use hummus instead of mayonnaise to help lower my cholesterol. My favorite so far is the Lantana brand, carrot and sriracha flavor. It makes for a tangy and flavorful sandwich.
The fruit bowl and yogurt was beautiful and delicious, but you’ll have to take my word on that.
We spent a lot of time indoors today, just sitting around reading.
Pretty much a lazy day. Hard to commit to getting off the sofa.
More of John’s chili for dinner.

We enjoyed our left over chili for dinner also. Dad and I are belly laughing at Toby half on and half off the sofa. He is hilarious!!!!! Today was frigid cold. We went to the post office to mail some things for JOAN. We stopped by our new restaurant for lunch. The rest of the day we just tried to stay warm. I did zoom with my gym class this morning. Love to all.
ReplyDeleteI love love Toby’s yoga pose! Julie says is it a downward dog?
