Mid afternoon, John and Toby took a nap. I let them sleep, hopped on my bike, and headed to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park, overlooking St. Joseph's Sound. Afterwards, I rode the Pinellas Trail south to Stevenson Creek in Clearwater and back home.
This is Toby's new friend, who dropped his rake on the spot when he saw Toby coming. Toby is warming up to him, even though his hands are covered in big, yellow gloves. After our morning grocery shopping, we headed to Walgreens on our bikes for John to get his second shingles vaccine, hence the need for a nap this afternoon. He handled the first one better than I did my first shot. All I wanted to do was sleep. Hope the second one is easy for him too.
The weather was perfect today. It was 70 degrees for our morning walk and 75 later in the afternoon. Another sunny day. But the forecast for tomorrow is for rain (80%) and 66 degrees, with a low down to 50!
Mas Fina came today. Those guys are awesome.
On our last walk of the day, Toby spotted Britta coming down the street and hunkered down to give a proper greeting.
A little play dancing and that was that. Britta is the best behaved dog I've ever met. She is always under control.
Today's bike route to Walgreens, Weaver Park, and Stevenson Creek
For dinner, we got take out from New Bamboo in the Causeway Plaza. We got broccoli in hot garlic sauce and added home-style tofu. We're going to try it again and order it a little more spicy, but it was really good in the mild version.
