And then these two sailing buddies started arguing.
No peace at the Marina today.
After lunch, we took Toby to the Enterprise Dog Park in Clearwater.
He got filthy dirty. Those aren't shadows; it's dirt!
These two were very aggressive with Toby. He began to play with them, but then he realized he was in over his head, so he took off running. Of course, they took off chasing him and he got rolled. The owner of the two dogs said her dogs were harmless, just played hard. She pulled one off and John pulled Toby away. We moved to the agility area that's fenced off separately and waited for her and her two dogs to leave.
After we walked some more, Toby signaled that he was ready to go home. He headed straight for the exit gate and a date with the tub and shampoo. When we hosed him off outside first, you could see the dirt flow off his back.
On our morning walk, the temperature went from 55 to 60 degrees by the time we were through.
It was a beautiful morning, but windy (10-14 mph) and cool.
A neighbor brought us a smoked chicken! The man that smokes it is from the Caribbean and does it with a smoker grill and special wood. We like to mix his smoked chicken in our salads--makes for a great flavor.
We had already thawed a chicken, so John fixed ours tonight (pictured). He mixed several Indian spices in his chicken.
The Kwikset company replied to my inquiry about a matching door handle to replace the missing one. They said the style was called "Grecian" and that they stopped making that model in May 1994. Our house was built by a Greek couple in 1991.
