Sunday

The temperature never got above 59, so I'll count today as the 12th day of winter (temperature below 60 degrees). And it felt like winter. Gray skies and 10-12 mph breezes this afternoon made it feel like a North Carolina winter day. No sun. We spent a lot of time putting on winter wear and taking off winter wear each time we walked the dog.

Because we were home all day, Toby didn't get his naps. He's been wound up all day.

Clearly bored.

I did find one more color of hibiscus to go with the ones yesterday. A sign of warmer days ahead. The temperature will be back in the 70s Monday and 80s Wednesday.

We stayed in for dinner, making a tuna sandwich on toast.

Miles walked: 4.8
Miles biked: no way

  1. We drove to Jeff’s boat at Lake Norman and we’re joined by new friends from the area. The wind was whipping but it was warm. We never left the slip thank goodness and we are on our way home.

This morning I planted daises that Julie share with me and pulled up more Ivy.

  2. Love the new shade of hibiscus. Toby matches your lovely rug. Yates had a drive thru bridal shower for their MMusic. I am still on the hospitality committee so that was my afternoon. It was nice seeing my old friends. We didn’t serve food to attendees (CDC) so it was simple. We had sun and blue skies.

  3. I'm so impressed by my family ❤️. I am reading about how to make raised garden beds, and decided to drop in to the blog. Thankfully today was warmer than Sunday! Very cool, Perry!
