Tuesday

Mom and Dad at their Victoria Condo

Sissy doing glamor pose

Squats at the gym with my sister from earlier in the week.

Pam and Jeff hit the gym again this morning before the Hale Center tour.

Hurricane Elsa due to arrive tonight/early tomorrow. Today has been surprisingly nice. The temperature was in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Toby’s not worried.

We toured the Hale Senior Center to mixed reviews. Mom was interested in some of the activities because she’s used to organized exercise classes. John and I might sign up for some things, too. We were assured that we were old enough. Dad said he wasn’t interested in joining anything structured, which is understandable given a lifetime of structured events with other people.

We also toured the Dunedin library which got my Dad’s attention. In fact, we checked out two books for him.

Then we headed over to Margarite’s Cafe for sandwiches. Dad’s treat!

We’ve secured our outdoor things, warmed up leftovers, and made a pot of coffee for tomorrow morning, in case we lose power. John has also cooked frozen meat in the freezer over the last couple of days. If we lose power, we’ll have cooked food for a couple of days.

He also froze containers of water to preserve some things in the event of power failure.

Now, we hunker down and wait.
