After lunch, John and I rode our bikes down to the Victoria Condos and went swimming with Mom and Dad.
We’re afraid that if we had our own pool we’d never leave the house. Being in water and around water is very relaxing.
I had breakfast with Mom and Dad at 7:00 at Our Place restaurant on Main Street. It got high marks for cleanliness and for the food. Dad is still saying that the Chatterbox has the best grits, but he’s emphatic about not going back.
I made it back in time to join John for a walk on the causeway.
The causeway walk never gets old.
Neither does the bike ride.
We played with Toby in the backyard.
Toby performed some acrobatic tricks.
We stopped on the Pinellas Trail to take in this memorial.
It was a beautiful afternoon, about 90 degrees.
The woodstork is back. He hangs out at our neighbors’ house hoping to score some cat food.
Late afternoon glow
Mom and Dad joined us for Juan’s Mexican Grill burritos. We took them out of the box and put them on a plate, not our usual service.
Toby was so awful we decided we need to take him for dog training. None of our tricks would work.
Of course, as soon as it was just the two us, he was as calm as could be.
One year of pandemic isolation means he doesn’t know how to be chill with company.

Today’s bike routes to the causeway and Victoria Condos
Miles walked: 7.3
Miles biked: 11.08

Fun to see and read about what we did today. Don’t be too hard on Toby.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Our children don’t always behave as we would like them to either.
