Monday

Instead of our usual walk this morning, I was on the phone with Blue Cross Blue Shield about a claim dispute with a provider. We got the notice Friday afternoon after everything was closed, so we got to stew all weekend. We were 90% sure it was a mistake, but there was a chance it wasn’t.

The nicest guy at BCBS explained everything so clearly. The dispute apparently had already been resolved months ago when BCBS paid the provider. The letter was months old and apparently just arrived.

We resumed our regular routine of walking Toby, but skipped our causeway walk.

We rode to Weaver Park and to the gym after lunch. Then we went down to the marina for a look at the harbor.

We put treats in a milk jug for Toby to figure out how to get them out. The jug lasted longer than the cereal box.

I gave him a bath late in the afternoon.

We’ve been practicing our week one lessons with him. Today was much better than yesterday.

He’s having to sit when being leashed and when exiting the house, same on his return to the house. He has to wait until we release him with “OK.”

He’s paying attention to our face more now instead of just barreling through and ignoring us.

Half of his food is set aside for training treats. That makes sure he is hungry and motivated and it keeps us from over feeding him with treats.

Today’s bike route to Weaver Park and the Dunedin Marina and a ride through Hammock and Highlander Parks.

Miles walked: 5
Miles biked: 8.16
