It was nice to get back out to the causeway to walk today. It was 78 degrees with a 12 mph breeze and good cloud cover.
Toby met Freddy this morning on his walk, another one year old puppy.
Toby continues his streak of loving every dog he meets, whether they like him or not. Freddy did.
We passed a lady on our afternoon walk who said Toby was the best looking dog in all of Dunedin and that he could be in pictures and make a lot of money. That made us laugh.
For lunch we had another turkey and cheese sandwich and a ridiculous fruit and veggie bowl: peaches, cantaloupe, tomatoes, strawberry yogurt, beets, cauliflower, carrots, cottage cheese, and blueberries.
I made it to the gym for the first time in a week. I took it easy and didn’t try to pick up where I left off. I drove to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park between waves of rain.
We’ve gotten 2.5 inches so far from this rain event, with more rain on the way. We’ve learned to always check the radar in the summer before heading out. It could be sunny one moment and a torrential downpour the next.
The good thing is the rain kept the temperature from getting above 80 degrees. For August, that’s very good.
John made BBQ chicken in the crockpot for dinner. And together we made mashed potatoes, from the 1/2 bag of potatoes our neighbors brought us because they couldn’t use all of them.
John contributed this picture from last week when we all had dinner at Olde Bay Cafe at the Dunedin marina.
