Monday

We had another day of scattered showers. We cut our causeway walk a little short to make it back to the car before it began pouring. Showers moved in from the gulf.

Looking east, we wouldn’t have noticed.

Outrageous lunch bowl: apples, Greek yogurt (high protein, zero sugar), carrots, broccoli, cherries, blueberries, beets, raspberries, cottage cheese, and hard boiled egg. Plus a turkey sandwich.

Then it was back to my plumbing project. I went backwards before going forwards. The shut off valve under the counter started leaking, in addition to the leak from the spout. A quick video helped me to tighten the packing nut, so the under counter leak was an easy fix. 

The original leak took five trips to three different stores before I got to replacing the failed part. 

While I was at Lowe’s, I spotted this fixture for our hall. I texted John and he liked it. Went to find one to buy and they were sold out.

So I came home and ordered two. We’ll pick them up at Lowe’s next Monday.

While I was at Ace getting a 60 cent part, I decided to get a new leaf picker upper, so I could use my credit card. John got a shower mirror with a suction cup. Somehow, we got a $17 discount with our Ace Rewards.

John made some chili and together we made mashed potatoes for dinner, with some Greek yogurt on top.

Toby struggles on rainy days because yard play is out. We took lots of walks, lots of training, and a few brain games.

He rolled around in something awful on his morning walk, but we took him to the shower immediately when we got home. Dogs instinctively roll in smelly things to mask their scent. It makes them stealthy hunters, in theory. Toby must think we are such buzz killers.
