Wednesday

After our morning causeway walk, we loaded Toby up in the car and went to Carvor’s for lunch. The deal was to try something different (other than the grilled grouper sandwich). We ordered cod fish and chips, but they were out, so they substituted grouper. John went ahead and got the grouper sandwich.

We took Toby a frozen Kong stuffed with wet dog food. But he was too distracted. He got treats from the seafood man next door, compliments from a woman on the phone (“ Oh. My. God. I’m looking at the most beautiful dog in the world.”), and he listened to a former neighbor talk for a long time. Several people passed by and petted him. He never sat down, except for the treat.

Our causeway walk began in sun and ended in a light sprinkle and a rainbow.

We passed by a wood stork on a late afternoon Toby walk.

We decided to hop on our bikes and catch the sunset on Honeymoon Island.

  2. Love the nature pics and especially the rainbow.

Our beautiful maple in the backyard split this morning at 4:00 am and we have been dealing with Duke power and insurance adjusters all day. No power tonight.

Happy for the rain until this. I may have to give up both maples the one that split and the one in the front yard. I am so sad.
