Thursday

This is the entrance to Honeymoon Island State Park, and it is the terminus of our daily causeway walks. Today’s walk began with 75 degrees, 90% humidity, and 7 mph winds. Thankfully, the humidity dropped to the low 60s as the day progressed.

We saw this hawk on our earlier Toby walk. I’ve seen them grab squirrels out of a tree and carry them off.

We took Toby for his annual check up and vaccinations. We weren’t allowed inside last year because of COVID, but we got to go in with him today (with masks, of course). He was so scared that his whole body was trembling. But he didn’t try to bite anyone or struggle to escape. Eventually, he was calm enough for his shots. The doctor said he looked good and would let us know if the tests came back with anything of concern.

The skies were awesome today.

Blue, green, and white

We cooked in tonight: mahi-mahi and rice.

Miles walked: 8.9
Miles biked: 5:10

  1. Ya’ll yard is beautiful. John’s plant selections on the right front is a great improvement. Good Job! We had Chinese food tonight. Yum. This Sunday is our Fall Fling.
