Monday

We walked Toby and took him to daycare, then headed to The Missing Piece to buy some artwork we saw last time we were there. We bought the piece above, but it wouldn't fit in our car. It's 4 feet x 4 feet, larger than it looks in the picture. So we either had to rent a truck or get a friend to help. John called a friend and he went and picked it up on his own and delivered it to our house. It might go here in the bedroom or above the dresser or in the dining room. Any votes from the peanut gallery?

After walking some more, we went to another new and used furniture store before picking up Toby. John found this table and we knew immediately it was the one. We didn't like the chairs they put with it, so we dragged this bench and these metal and wood chairs from nearby. We bought them all on the spot and arranged for delivery tomorrow, and rushed across Highway 19 to pick up Toby at K9 Adventures.

Then we started thinking about renting a truck for $20 and getting them today and saving $50. We put Toby in his crate.

Then we got our delivery fee back and headed to U-Haul and back to the store to load up.

In two and a half hours, we had our new table in the house.

The bench is old and a quirky match, but I like that it's not an exact match.

John wanted to go out and get a puzzle to work on!

It's so nice to finally have something in this room other than a dog crate. I’m thinking a comfortable sofa and chair would finish it off and move the crate to the bedroom.

It’s 6’ x 3’

Now we have someplace to eat when we are sweaty and dirty.

John found our Christmas tree!

Toby had a great day at daycare. He played with Barclay, according to the pick-up report. He was happy to  leave us and happy to see us. I asked if he napped, and the woman said, "Not when I last checked on him."

He’s thoroughly exhausted.

  2. Agree with Pam’s comments. John get some miniature ornaments for the tree. Like the view from the living area looking at the new table and chairs. My favorite photos is Perry holding the art in the dining room. Laughed out loud. Of course always love the snuggle photos. Your new purchases warm up your space.
