Monday

Our first walk in the neighborhood was at 55 degrees, but by the time we got to the causeway, it was already 60 degrees. An hour or so later, it was 66. We got to see another extra low low tide. The sea grass above is usually several feet underwater.

About the only waterway is the channel.

A beautiful morning.

My workplace three times a week. The wind was blowing 11 mph and it was 73 degrees when I rode my bike to the gym. I had to wear long sleeves it was so cold. No joke!

This time, Toby began the brain games with the hardest puzzle (middle) but didn’t finish, then moved to the intermediate puzzle and finished (top), then moved to the easy puzzle (bottom), then back to finish the most difficult puzzle.

That strategy cost him 37 seconds off his record, but he will likely learn from it.

Sunset from Weaver Park last night

Sunset from Lake Saundra tonight on our last walk

Lake Saundra

A neighbor brought us a smoked BBQ chicken for dinner. He uses special wood and a fancy grill.

You would think that retirees could just ignore the time change, having nowhere they have to be. But it’s actually very disruptive. We got up early yesterday and went to bed at 7:30. We slept for 10 hours because our alarm is Alexa turning on the living room light at 5:15 and playing classical music at 5:30. We ate lunch at 10:30 and dinner at 4:30. At least that’s what the clock says. Our bodies and habits just stay in their routine. Nevertheless, I don’t miss the brutality of all the sudden having a 7:00 class instead of an 8:00 class.

Today’s bike route to Weaver Park and downtown

Miles walked: 13
Miles biked:  7.11

  1. Yesterday I really had trouble with time change too. My body and the clock never got in sinc. I still need to adjust. I had my dermatology check up today. Had a biopsy on a place on right leg. Love the Dunedin scenes since I recognize each scene. Tell Toby Grandma ROSIE is glad she isn’t timed when she eats. She would fail.

  2. Ha ha. Perry reminds me of myself when I wanted my kids to be the bestt at everything. I love the time change. I try to make it until 8:30 to go to sleep and I wake up early and have so much more time in the morning.
