Sunday

We began our day with a long sunrise walk in the neighborhood with Toby. Then we put him in his crate and drove to the causeway to walk. The temperature was in the upper 50s for the first walk and in the 60s for the second, definitely long sleeves weather.

We came home and walked Toby again. It was only 10:00, so we hopped on our bikes and rode back to Knot on Main (across from the Pinellas Trail) because they were advertising a sale and even had some things outside under a tent. It has been a few years since we strolled through the booths, so we were interested in seeing if anything had changed. Unfortunately, it was the same stuff everyone is trying to get rid of. John said it was the kind of things left at the end of the day at a flea market. Or maybe we are just too picky in our old age.

It turned out to be a beautiful day, lots of sun but cool.

We continue to experiment with our Chinese takeout selections. Tonight, we got Kung Pao chicken and Szechuan chicken, both excellent. Recently, we tried their Mapo Tofu, named after the elderly Chinese woman who became well-known for this dish. She had pockmarks on her face. Mapo translates to old woman with pockmarks. We liked it very much.

We cleaned house today. Every day can’t be all fun and games!

  1. I never found anything at Knot On Main. It always looked like things I need to get rid of. I love that shop we all went to on a Dunedin visit. I laugh EVERYTIME I come across the photo with Perry on the sofa with the deep cushions. Hilarious. I didn’t go out at all today. I did zoom on SS class. My best accomplishment today was shredding 2 years of receipts, paid bills etc. I still have 7 years of same just in case. In fact Dad got into this project. 👏💙. Love to all. Toby have a good day tomorrow.

  2. Jeff and I entertained Kenzie and Will with moms delicious pound cake and fruit for breakfast. I read, Jeff worked a bit and the. We decided to ride our bikes to Salem Lake. It was 54 degrees. We had a bike gear on but it was NOT enough. The sun was low in the sky and after 9 miles Jeff said the cars would not be able to see us well so we turned around and came home. Fixed crab cakes and broccoli for dinner. Jeff built a fire and we are waiting to watch the interview with Oprah and Adele and hear her new album.

  3. 63 degrees is my lower limit for bike riding, and that’s with a wind breaker.
We have friends from Minnesota who don’t ride in the summer here. We met them last night riding their bikes while we were walking Toby. We laugh at each other’s tolerances.
