After our morning causeway walk and lunch, I rode my bike out to Honeymoon Island while John and Toby took a nap.
The beach was crowded again. I walked a few miles. The 80 degree sun felt good.
There were lots of clouds this afternoon.
Dunedin is doing some sidewalk repair on the sidewalk that forms the Dunedin Causeway Trail. They had to close one lane of traffic, so cars were backed up all the way to the park entrance trying to cross the causeway and get back to the mainland. I’ve never seen cars backed up leaving the park. It made biking more difficult because I had to cross the street to get to the sidewalk on the north side. Then I had to cross the busy Curlew/Bayshore intersection twice.
This is the color combination we’re thinking about for our kitchen remodel—minus the brass hardware.
Toby got to go to daycare today. He got a scratch around his brown eyepatch. The caretakers put some ointment on it. It appears to be a surface scratch. We’re thinking it was some dog’s dewclaw, a dog’s thumb equivalent.
As soon as they came out to get him and took the leash from us, he bolted for the door that leads to the playrooms. No hesitation. No looking back. It makes us happy to be able to provide something that makes him so happy.
Toby got a shower and shampoo with me and is now all curled up on the sofa, fast asleep.
