Sunday

The wind was blowing 15-20 mph on our causeway walk this morning. A couple of gusts stopped us in our tracks.

The temperature was in the low 60s so it wasn’t unbearable, but it was chilly.

After our causeway walk, we rode out to Honeymoon Island to look at the beach. This storm will take a lot of sand with it.

We were putting on the electric blanket, so we were trying to distract Toby with a toy. Unfortunately, he got excited and started running through the house and crashed into the picture we’ve had sitting on the floor for months. We heard the shattering glass and ran in to discover our misfortune.

So disappointing. That will teach us to be indecisive about hanging artwork. Toby wasn’t hurt, thank goodness, just scared.

It’s too big to transport in our car to have it repaired, so we will have to figure out what to do. Perhaps we’ll remove the rest of the glass and just hang it as it is. As John said, at least it will be lighter.

Sweet Toby, who worries not about material things and all the other vanities of being human.
