Toby got a New Year’s email from our pet trainer and her dog, Emmit.
She sent us these pictures from Toby’s second graduation from intermediate puppy training back in December.
Not sure what this is, but John had to try it on and our trainer took a picture.
My new shoes arrived yesterday. You’re supposed to replace your running shoes every 250-500 miles. But we walk 250 miles a month! I wore my last pair for 5 months and they were really worn out.
We dropped Toby off at daycare this morning at 8:30, trying to get him there and out in 4 hours without having to spend time during nap time. He only had to be there for 30 minutes of nap time. He had 3 1/2 hours to play. His pal, Yuki, was being dropped off at the same time, but they are in different play groups because of their size.
Toby did much better at drop off and pick up. We came armed with treats and vigilance. He remained in a sit as long as we gave him treats. There was no jumping but lots of excitement.
Here, he’s stepping out to greet us after playtime.
John likes to see him coming down the hallway on his way to be reunited with his pack.
That’s a happy dog.
It was in the low 60s by the time we made it to the causeway, but it warmed up to 73 degrees later.
It was warm enough for short sleeves because the wind was light.
Mostly sunny.
Florida’s strawberry growing season is from November to April with the peak in February and March. The ones at Publix today were perfect—and BOGO!
Most people think about Florida’s warm weather when they decide to retire here, but another good selling point includes fresh fruit and produce, locally grown.
These tangerines won’t win any beauty prizes, but they could not be any sweeter. And they were on sale.
Here’s another “before” shot of the water tower before they paint the sea turtle on it.
Toby got his dessert treats in my shoe box, a perfect dog toy.
Success!
John made crockpot chicken and rice for dinner.
We had a visitor in our front bed when we returned from our last walk of the day.
