Tuesday

We drove up after picking up Toby from daycare and found this squirrel eating one of our loquats. John snapped the picture from the car.

Great white heron eating a lizard from our front yard (still filled with leaves from the recent storm)

This morning's causeway walk was somewhat overcast and chilly, if you can call the upper 60s chilly.

It eventually warmed up to 82 degrees, but there were lots of clouds.

John fixed a formal dinner featuring bow tie pasta with meat sauce.

While we ate dinner in the lanai, Toby went into his open crate to join us. That’s only the second time he’s done that without being told, and the first time that he did it was because there was a sun ray on his bed in there.

After our last Toby walk, I noticed the wind had finally died down, so I used the last bit of daylight to do a quick raking of the yard with all of its leaves and storm debris. I filled up our two 32 gallon bins.

I left the loquats on the ground for the squirrels.

I took this picture of the morning's sunrise through the rear sliding glass door. The shot didn't capture the intense orange I saw.
