Saturday

It was another low 60s to mid 80s kind of day. Breezes were blowing about 11 mph, mostly sunny with a few fluffy clouds. I think I raked magnolia leaves three times today. This is their season for blooms and leaves to fall.

After dinner we took Toby in the golf cart to Stirling Park to walk and fetch off leash. He practiced some commands, too, and then lazed about.

Toby fell asleep with his head on my knee and his feet dangling in the air.

After lunch, we took Toby in the golf cart to Highlander Park and the community center.

We followed the shade trees. We passed a couple of little league games in progress. Toby was leery because of the cheering and yelling, but we coaxed him along.

This morning’s causeway walk was slow and easy. We rode our bikes to the drawbridge.

On the way back from Stirling Park, we stopped to see a neighbors’ new motor home. It’s built on a Ford F600 chassis with a Diesel engine. It has 1 1/2 bathrooms. The sides expand to make room for a queen size bed. They’re getting a manual Mini Cooper to tow behind it. He’s still 2-3 years from retirement, but this has been his dream.

I see hundreds of avocados growing on our tree. They’re about the size of large olives right now.

John made spaghetti for dinner.

Miles walked: 10
Miles biked: 5.13
