We walked Toby at 8:00 this morning, but we had to cut it short because rain was on the way. Fortunately, the mowers were able to finish their work before it rained. We made a Publix run instead of walking the causeway. We took another neighborhood walk and had lunch.
After lunch, the skies cleared so we hopped on our bikes and headed to the causeway to walk.
The water was beautiful. Even the camera did a decent job of capturing the beauty.
We could see rain in the distance, some skirting us and some headed our way. The barge in the picture above is the supply boat for Caladesi Island. It makes regular trips delivering supplies and removing waste.
The wind was strong today, about 11 mph, coming from the south, southwest. The high temperature today was 86 degrees.
We made it home just in time for the rain to start again.
We’ve scheduled an inspector in order to be eligible for new home insurance coverage. I’m going to upgrade our sink drain before they come. My repair was adequate, but it will be better if I get some plumber’s putty.
Our current insurer will refund our remaining premium in the next month. I hope it’s prorated and not some crazy formula like the last time a change was made.
Toby hit the sack early tonight.
