I caught Toby sleeping with his bone in his mouth.

It has been overcast most of the day with periodic rain showers, none lasting more than a few minutes.

But this being Florida, there were periods of sun, too. It was muggy.

John made it to the causeway this morning, but I stayed behind to read and work on loose ends. 

We’ve got a contract for home insurance, effective at the end of the month. We ordered a printer/scanner to be able to complete the process. We rarely print things, so we were hoping to avoid buying a printer, but when you need it, you need it. Printing at Staples is an option, but it’s a pain.

John made an appointment for Toby at Dogtopia two weeks away. They still don’t have the online cameras working or online booking. We booked a full day, the same day as our dermatology appointments.

We took several short walks in the neighborhood to avoid getting stranded in the rain somewhere far away.

The best line from the first day of the January 6 Hearing came from Liz Cheney who addressed her fellow Republicans who have traded truth and democracy for lies and power:

 “There will come a day when President Trump is gone,” Ms. Cheney said. “But your dishonor will remain.”
