John got this picture of a dove on the bulkhead of the tidal bridge from our causeway walk this morning.
We got an earlier start this morning than usual. We took Toby for a walk in the neighborhood around 7:00 this morning, just after sunrise. Then we rode our bikes out to the causeway to walk. It was sunny but only 75 degrees. The wind was blowing at 6 mph. The forecast called for thunderstorms at about 1:30. I wanted to get back in time to make it to the gym before the rain came.
When we got home, I grabbed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for energy and hopped on my bike again heading to Weaver Park, via the Pinellas Trail.
I had the place to myself mostly and enjoyed a good workout.
I made it home just before noon, in time for lunch with John. I was exhausted! I had been in motion for five hours straight.
And, of course, the predicted rain never came, but we enjoyed staying inside where it was cool until we took Toby to Highlander Park in the go cart to walk in the shade, mid-afternoon. Afterwards, we played a little fetch in the back yard.
John is enjoying rotating his flag collection. This one has a heart on the Dunedin location on the Florida map.
We checked the weather forecast before dinner time, and it looked all clear, so we rode our bikes to New Bamboo for our Sunday takeout dish of Chicken Egg Foo Yung. It was a fun bike ride, notwithstanding the frown on my face, my resting face. It wasn’t blazing hot, and we could smell the sea breeze. I inherited the blue shorts I have on from John.
Last walk of the day. Very light sprinkles and 85 degrees. Lots of clouds.
Tomorrow is graduation day for Toby's advanced training class. Then we get a break.
Miles walked: 9
Miles biked: 14.64

We went to a sailing event at lake Norman. And then another sail to pump out the bathroom on Sunday. Not my favorite kind of weekend. It was just too hot to be on a sailboat. But came home and ate Mexican out and watched Firefly Lane.
