Since the breeze was blowing at only 2 mph this morning, we rode our bike downtown after walking Toby in the neighborhood. We parked at the train station and walked north on the Pinellas Trail, all the way to Publix, stopping at Hammock Park and Publix for water and a restroom break. Then we walked back to our bikes and rode north again to Publix for the second time to get some groceries.
We noticed this "Dog Library" at Layne's Lemonade, downtown.
It's a box full of sticks. Clever, made us laugh.
John got this picture of a roseate spoonbill. You can see his bill clearly in this picture.
We gave him a wide berth to keep from frightening him.
The Butterfly Garden at Hammock Park has a new sign.
The temperature was in the low 80s, but we had plenty of shade and some cloud cover for when we didn't.
We had a big lunch. We were starving! Then we took Toby to Lake Saundra in the go cart so he could walk in the shade. John got this picture of ibises hanging out in one of the oak trees along the water.
I forced myself to go to the gym in the afternoon, but once I got there and stretched, I was fine. I enjoy my time at the gym. The temperature was 90 degrees, felt like 100 with the heat index.
I came home and raked leaves, getting ready for Mas Fina tomorrow. I got this picture of one of our hibiscus flowers in the side yard.
Toby's new elevated dog bed arrived this afternoon via Amazon. (John immediately went to find the ugliest towel we have to put on it.) Toby likes it. The online reviews say that these beds are better than dog beds because you can wash the bedding. It keeps dogs cool. And it's cushy because it's suspended. Just the right height for him to step into. A lot cheaper than a dog bed, just $25.
For dinner we treated ourselves to BOGO hamburgers at the Fairway Grille. We took the go cart and got them to go. Toby went along for the ride, too.
Toby couldn't take his eyes off the door that John walked in at the clubhouse.
John got fries (which I helped him eat).
I got the standard chips, or Fritos in this case. Can't eat those. Boo!
We are going to sleep well tonight!

Your picture of the hamburger made me drool and brought back many happy memories.
