Skies were cloudy, so after walking Toby, we washed the car. The temperature today was nice this morning: 77 degrees. The high temperature today was 88 degrees, but with a good breeze and lots of clouds. (The picture above is a little blurry because I took it while riding my bike with the camera in its handlebar holder.)
After walking in the neighborhood some more, we hitched up Toby’s trailer to John’s bike and headed to Publix to pick up some heavy items, like milk and jelly, as well as some light things.
On one walk, we made it to the Pinellas Trail.
I spotted this unusual attachment.
After lunch, we walked Toby and played fetch in the backyard. Then John and I rode our bikes downtown. Things were pretty calm, not a lot of people out.
I took a detour to San Jose Park to look at the high tide.
We also took a detour to check out the high tide at Hammock Park where Cedar Creek passes by on the way to the sound.
We’ve seen it higher, but not much higher. Before the city made this tidal pond, the streets would flood at even a regular high tide. Welcome to climate change.
Toby made it through the day without treats on his walks. He’s not happy about it, but we all have to grow up sometime.
