We decided to ride our bikes out to Honeymoon Island this morning after walking Toby in the neighborhood. These are the tough decisions facing us in retirement: where to spend our day and how. Dunedin provides many wonderful options.
We stopped to take a picture of all the kayakers crossing over to Caledesi Island, accessible only by boat (or a very long walk from Clearwater Beach).
I think this is the most kayakers we've seen at one time.
We continued on to Honeymoon Island, stopping at Bathhouse #3 to enjoy the view and to take advantage of a pit stop.
Pretty views all around.
The water was very clear.
It was between 9 and 10 a.m., and I had on SPF 30.
I love the colors in this picture.
John’s foot in clear water.
There were lots of people in the water near the bathhouses.
John drove the car out to the causeway to walk at sunrise this morning.
I couldn't quite get myself together that early, so I stayed home and drank coffee and read the news.
I missed a beautiful sunrise.
John said two people asked where I was. Life in a small town.
After lunch, we took Toby to Lake Saundra, and John got this shot of a wood stork.
I got this shot of two ibises drying their wings in the sun after a bath. I caught them just as they turned their heads and looked at one another. They must feel very lucky to be enjoying the warm sun at such a beautiful place with one another.
Miles walked: 9.3
Miles biked: 11.42

Love your pics. Dunedin is a beautiful place and I am glad you get to enjoy it with each other.
