Today was car maintenance day at Lexus. My appointment was for 7:30, so our morning routines were all changed. I almost felt like I was interrupting my vacation to go in to work. I toured the showroom and looked at all the new models (new NX pictured above), not tempted in the least. A thunderstorm moved through while I was waiting and John pointed out that it was a good day to do car duty.
My assigned assistant let me know it would be about a three hour wait, so I settled in to drink their coffer and eat some of their treats. I remembered to wear a long-sleeved shirt because the waiting area is freezing. Three hours later, I was on my way in a newly washed and vacuumed car, hoping that it will be a very long time before I need to return.
John kept Toby company while I was away. After I got home, the three of us went for a walk around Lake Saundra. The rain had cooled the streets and atmosphere enough that it wasn't too bad. After that, we had lunch and after lunch some playtime with Toby in the backyard.

We invited lake neighbors to go on a boat ride and had a lovely evening. We go home today at 1:00. I have spent my time here reading, walking, puzzling and today I am taking my paddle board out.
