Toby was so excited to go to doggie daycare this morning. He was very well mannered though.

He did lots of walking around. The big white dog facing Toby was his main pal today.

They went round and round. That dog is huge!

I saw Toby take a break several times today.

Chillin out. Eight hours of daycare is exhausting!

After we walked Toby this morning and took him to doggie daycare, we wanted to go for a walk. The weather forecast was iffy, but we decided to walk anyway. We drove the go cart down to Stirling Park and walked from there. The closer we got to the causeway, the darker the clouds.

The change in lighting made for some beautiful pictures though.

We made it to the bathroom and turned around, the rain following us on our backs.

We were keeping up with the movement of the storm, just barely.

John noticed a water spout forming behind us.

We broke out into a run to stay ahead of the storm.

We kept moving . . . 

. . . heading towards the light.

Behind us was all dark.

We ducked under the drawbridge to ride out one wave of rain.

From the south, there was no rain.

We made it to Walgreens before ducking in to ride out a heavy downpour. We stayed for over thirty minutes. We made it home shortly after 11:00. We had planned to ride our bikes to the Clearwater Courthouse for early voting, but we’ll save that for another day. We may even wait for Election Day and vote at our precinct.

After lunch and a shower, we browsed through The Missing Piece, the high end used furniture, consignment showroom. We didn't find anything that we had to have, but we got some ideas and saw some interesting things. This ibis above found what he was missing, perhaps a mole.

Since we were out in the car to pick up Toby, we swung by and picked up a Jet’s pizza on the way home. Best pizza ever!

Last walk of the day. Toby took care of business and turned around to go home. He was tired. When we got home John changed the bed linens, and Toby and I took a shower.
