After lunch, John met a friend downtown and I took off on a bike ride on the Pinellas Trail. I went north to Ozona and south to Clearwater. The picture above is from the overpass at the north end of Dunedin, looking out at St. Joseph’s Sound and the gulf beyond.

On the way south, I stopped at the Weaver Park pier.
The weather was beautiful today. The high temperature was 85 degrees, with a 7 mph breeze.
There were lots of people out today. The trail was especially busy. There was live music at Lucky Lobster’s outdoor patio overlooking the trail, and a singer at the downtown gazebo.
There are two more live concerts in the park along the waterfront during the month of September, on Fridays. The trailer above is one of the city’s mobile stages.
On our way to the Pinellas Trail
This morning we rode our bikes to the causeway to walk. It was 73-75 degrees on our walk. It was almost cool with a strong breeze.
We had plenty of cloud cover.
It’s amazing how much easier it is to walk when it’s not blazing hot. John was doing some stretching while I took a few pictures.
The Caladesi Ferry terminal on Honeymoon Island
We saw a group of 7 stingrays swimming together under the tidal bridge.
We took Toby to Highlander Park late this afternoon for a walk. We ran into neighbors doing the same. They invited us to meet them at Home Plate tomorrow night for an outdoor concert on the patio.
The pond at the community center has filled up with water after all of our recent rain.
Toby got to use his brain to solve his food puzzle.
Toby’s unicorn village
Nothing gets him more excited.
We are waiting to take our last walk. A rain shower is keeping us inside for a while. John says it’s raining in the front yard but not in the backyard.

Funny rain pattern. Looks like another beauty day
ReplyDeleteIn Dunedin. Dad is watering our newly planted grass seed. He has taken that job to heart. We think Dad has finally got all the landscape lights working. He has really worked on figuring it out.
Dad wanted to know if you received his response yesterday.
ReplyDeleteSitting in the boat at LKN. It was a cool night. I woke up to a swollen eye and poison ivy break out on my ear, face, arm. Ugh!!!! Laying low today. Don’t forget to watch the Queen’s funeral tomorrow.
