Then he’s ready for his adventure.
When we got home, I picked two buckets of avocados using our picker that a former neighbor gave us when he moved.
I got about 40. The next time I pick some I’m going to need the ladder. There are still 100 or more on our three trees. I’ll make deliveries to the neighbors in the morning.
We had a Pub sub for lunch, so we stayed home and had our normal lunch for dinner. We’ve had the best run of peaches this summer.

After our Highlander Park go cart expedition, I rode my bike south on the Pinellas Trail, all the way to Clearwater. I stopped at Stevenson Creek to take a couple of pictures.
This is the first day without rain in a while. It was nice to be able to be outside.
On the way home, I stopped at the outdoor gym at Weaver Park to stretch and do sit-ups. I’m resting my shoulder until October.
We had a rebate card from our recent flea and tick and heart worm prevention purchase, so this morning we took the car to load up on groceries. But first, we walked. We parked at Publix and walked to the restrooms on the causeway. Then walked back to shop.
The temperature was 83-85 degrees with a light breeze. Beautiful weather.
The water was very clear today.
Seaweed growing under the bridge
That’s under a couple of feet of water.
I love the wood stork’s pink feet. We saw him at Lake Saundra on our last walk of the day.
This evening’s thunderstorms keep getting pushed further and further back, now expected around 9:30. We’ve had no rain all day for a change.
