Saturday

After our morning Toby walk and causeway walk, we took Toby in his go cart downtown for lunch.

We headed to PhoEdin for summer rolls in peanut sauce.

Toby thought he was going for icecream, even though John kept saying, "You're NOT going for ICECREAM." You know which word Toby heard.

Our modified decorations appeared to hold up this time.

Yesterday, when I went to the gym, I saw a ghost in the middle of the street. I thought, "Oh, someone has lost their Halloween decoration." Then I thought, "Wait a minute. That looks like our ghost. And we just came by here a couple of hours ago in the golf cart." I circled back. Sure enough: it was our ghost. Minus the blinking light, which had been crushed to smithereens. Nevertheless, I rescued it, and you can see it got reattached to the go cart.

Yum.

Toby was pretty good. Not perfect, but he did settle down and behave after a while. We brought a towel for him to sit on for a sense of place and his water bowl.

PhoEdin gave him a treat.

He was better than a two year old baby.

Another couple showed up with a doodle dog. Toby was great. The other dog: not so much.

We got to try out our new bluetooth speaker that fits in the cup holder. John ordered a golf cart bracket so that we can hang it from the bar behind us. Our golf cart and paraphernalia are like a really expensive fidget spinner.

Toby has acclimated to this mode of transportation, in a way that he never did with his dog trailer. I think he likes being with us, as opposed to traveling in his own trailer. Go figure.

So much to be happy about.

So much to look at.

When he gets home, he goes to sleep immediately, warn out from all the stimulation.

One of the parochial schools is having a carnival. Looks like a pretty big deal.

Lots of activities in the Sound today.

It has been another beautiful day. Temperatures ranged from the low 70s to the low 80s with an hour-long thunderstorm in the late afternoon.

All sorts of boats.

Kayaks with the Caledesi ferry in the background.

John flipped back Toby's ears.

Miles walked: 9.5
Miles biked: 5.24

  1. Beautiful water photos and lots going on there. John looks skinny. Impressed with the dog friendly restaurants. 👏👏 We are watching the Alabama vs Tennessee football game. Tomorrow is the Fall Fling in the Highlands.
