John wanted to play his computer game and take the morning off from walking the causeway. So after we walked Toby, I hopped on my bike and headed to the beach.
For a Friday, it wasn’t very busy. This shot was taken in motion using my phone holster on my handlebars. You can see my bike shadow.
The weather was terrific: 70 degrees and mostly sunny.
Clearwater Beach is on the horizon, all built up and commercialized.
We’re so lucky to have this undeveloped state park.
I enjoyed the solitude.
I walked a couple of miles.
Lots of parking available today.
There was a swing opposite these two palm trees, but it got overtaken by the waves before the last sand replenishment. We used to have picnics there.
Catching a few morning rays.
It was a lovely morning at the beach. If you enlarge this picture, you’ll see some large soap bubbles wafting across the Causeway Trail. A young couple across the street were diligently sending bubbles across the trail.
We had another smoothie for lunch. We added frozen spinach instead of butternut squash today. I chased mine with an PB&J. John remains on his diet. Then I headed to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park to exercise. It was very busy today, the most people I’ve ever seen there. It was a perfect 75 degrees.
Toby is all snuggled up next to me while I work on this blog. His bumps are the same, as is his treatment, including multiple wipe downs after being outside.
The Dunedin Christmas parade is tomorrow. We are seeing “Once Upon A Mattress “ at the Frances Wilson Playhouse with our next door neighbors at the same time as the parade. We’re having dinner together before in Clearwater to avoid the crowds.
Today’s bike routes to Honeymoon Island and Weaver Park

Is that a bruise on top of your right shoulder?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful weather. You really have bulked up. Looking good both of you. Your beach looks great too. Jan, Joan and us went to the SS Class party at Bullock’s this afternoon. Introduced Joan to Southern cooking. I took a Red Velvet Cake. Love to all.
