Monday

Last walk of the day, at sunset and 75 degrees

We got Toby’s DNA results back before our causeway walk this morning. He’s 47% pit bull terrier, 14% American Staffordshire terrier, 7% chow chow, 6% collie, 5% boxer, 5% Labrador, and several other breeds under 3%, including chihuahua. I think he got his skin allergy from the boxer side of his family since they are known for having bump breakouts. It was fun to learn the results. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what he is. We love him just the way he is and his great big diverse family.

It was warm on the causeway this morning. We left a little later than usual. It was about 68 degrees.

I  played some brain games with Toby after lunch. Then I headed to the gym to exercise and then I rode south on the Pinellas Trail to the intersection with Alt. 19. The high temperature today was 78 degrees.

Today’s bike routes to the causeway, Weaver Park, the edge of Clearwater, and New Bamboo for takeout dinner

Toby got a medicated shampoo for his latest breakout. We’re going to have to go back to our more rigorous approach: more frequent showers, wipe downs after being outside, Benadryl twice daily, and limiting outdoor exposure.

We can’t believe tomorrow is Tuesday (brain games at Petsmart) already. The days are flying by.

Miles walked: 9.8
Miles biked: 21.09

  1. Interesting to learn about Toby’s DNA. Can’t wait to hear your trainer’s comments.

I went to the gym, purchased groceries for my Thursday party and am reading.

Took my first shower without a covering on my incision. It is healing. I keep a bandage on it during the day but leave it to air at night. I plan to play tennis tomorrow for the first time in two weeks.

  2. Yea Toby.👏re your DNA.

What a great day in Dunedin.

Dad had a Duke appointment re neck pain today. Dr Lu identified Dad’s pain was higher up than the 3 unsuccessful Greensboro injections. She will do a different procedure which includes 3 separate steps. If step 1 and 2 brings relief she will proceed with the 3rd step. 1 and 2 will be numbing injections 3 will be ablation. She doesn’t have an opening until April 3, but he is on a cancellation list to call if someone cancels. Love to all.
