Wednesday

We got a new water fountain at the outdoor gym. 😁
The old one had been leaking for a while, and it was beginning to rust.

It was a wonderful 79 degrees when I rode my bike to the gym, not a cloud in the sky.

A couple of the regulars came and went, but I had the place to myself for most of my visit. It’s such a serene place. I look forward to gym day.

These ibises kept me company. I rode my bike downtown afterwards, but turned around at President Street. I was tired, and I knew there was a 10 mph headwind on the way back.

I made our best smoothie yet. Frozen: strawberries, mango, blueberries, cherries, cauliflower, butternut squash. Fresh: avocado, banana, cucumber, yogurt, cottage cheese. Liquid: watermelon cherry, orange juice. 😋 Lots of delicious nutrients.

We rode our bikes to the causeway this morning and walked after our neighborhood walk with Toby.

I have felt behind all day, which is a crazy thing for a retired person to say. We had a lot going on: our car insurance policy renewed so I printed new cards. John’s shoes were delivered and later Toby’s fish oil for his skin was delivered (ordered this morning at 8:00 and delivered at 3:30). We did laundry and routine cleaning, changed the sheets and towels. We rode our bikes to Publix and picked up a few items. We wiped Toby down after every walk and gave him a shower rinse at the end of the day, along with his new fish oil. I played some brain games with Toby. I made some chicken salad. I kept telling John that my list kept getting longer and longer no matter what I did. We were on the move all day long.

I did take time to read about Warnock’s victory in Georgia. From what I’ve read, some Republicans are now ready to move on from Trump, not because he’s a liar, philanderer, corrupt businessman, racist, misogynist, bully, insurrectionist, twice impeached, defender and pal of white supremacists, national security risk, wanna be dictator, or because he wants to suspend the Constitution, etc., but because they are tired of losing. They were okay with everything else.

Miles walked: 10.4
Miles biked: 13.16

  1. Brahhaha regarding your Trump comments but we both breathed a sigh of relief when Warnock won. My goodness!

I have been cleaning and cooking and fluffing the last two days getting ready for my tennis girls who are coming for brunch tomorrow. My house looks pretty thanks to mom and my food is cooked and I am beat! A good nights rest will revive me and I get my hair cut tomorrow afternoon which always makes me feel better.

  2. Neat new gym water fountain. Dunedin is on the ball.

I went to WDI with Yates friends for lunch. Went to yearly endocrinology check up. Waiting on blood work results. Picked up skin care products at Duke. Back to Mebane for a couple of stops and finally home. Perry we had another rainy day, thick fog this cold morning. Not like your lovely photos of Dunedin today. Watching a Hallmark movie and will call it a day very soon. Love to all.
