This morning we went to Petsmart for Toby’s third class of advanced training. He did really well. There were two other big dogs, both taking advanced for the first time. The pure bred collie did a lot of crying, but he was only a year old. Toby practiced sitting for petting by a stranger, sitting for a conversation between us and a stranger, waiting in a down for 1 minute in the front of the store with lots of distractions. He practiced heeling. He stayed in a down while the trainer bounced a squeaky ball all around him.
After lunch, it warmed up to 67 degrees, so I rode my bike to the outdoor gym at Weaver Park to exercise, making up for yesterday. The weather was better today.
The gym was pretty busy, just not when I snapped this picture.
There were a few regulars and a lot of tourists. . . and their young children.
The Pinellas Trail was very busy.
I spent the afternoon pillow shopping online, which is far easier than shopping in a store. I filtered my search for shape and color and quickly clicked through 50 pages of options. I’ve found a pair I like and am now searching for a coordinating single. I thought I had found one, but it was too big. Nevertheless it beats driving around getting overwhelmed in a big store—filled with people! Thank you Pam and Mom for helping me with the options!
We finished watching Queen on Netflix. It was a great story about a father, daughter, and granddaughter. The father was a drag queen (hobby) in Paris. He left his wife and infant child to become a high-end tailor (vocation). His daughter needed a kidney transplant to save her life. The granddaughter finds her grandfather and convinces him to return to Poland to donate his kidney. Chaos ensues as he arrives in homophobic Poland to a really angry daughter who knows nothing about him and doesn’t want his kidney. The 4-part movie had a happy ending as people overcome their prejudices and lingering resentments.
Miles walked: 6.4

Shopping online is how I shop. Don’t like stores or traffic.
ReplyDeleteWe are going through LKN stuff and even though it seems overwhelming it is easier to do with Julie.
Proud of Toby. Sounds like he outdid himself AT TRAINING. Ya’ll have done well by sticking with training and PRACTICE. Yea to you and John. Enjoying looking at your pillow search today.
