We drove the go cart to Stirling Park in the late afternoon when the temperature was in the the low 50s. We walked in the usual section for a while and then walked on the Pinellas Trail north to the section bordering the trail. We were all bundled up.
We played fetch in the back yard after lunch, so this has been an eventful day for Toby.
The trail was surprisingly busy with bikers and walkers. We had to stay on our toes.
We wore our long johns all day. It was 41 degrees this morning on our first walk, but we didn’t have the 19 mph wind from yesterday.
Toby got to cross two bridges, twice. He was a bit leery and wanted to walk down the center, which made it challenging for the bikers. Somehow I managed to get him in the proper lane for the picture above.
The park was beautiful in the fading sun.
That’s a good heel. And on a bridge.
Good job, Toby.

We were proud of his bridge crossings.
Our street is a mess. The workers worked Saturday but not today.
One of our pillows arrived today. John likes it the best so far.
I passed the day reading and shopping online. I ordered cotton mesh produce bags so that we can eliminate single use plastic bags. The new bags are washable and reusable. We’ll just stick them in our reusable shopping bags.
I ordered another poop bag dispenser to replace the worn one that Toby uses for target practice when he gets bored. His poop bags are necessarily single use.
And I ordered some ground flax seed for our smoothies. We’re having one or two smoothies a day.
Tomorrow is a warm up day bringing more normal temperatures soon. After three days, we’re ready to get outside more (in shorts!)

We were in Va this weekend and it was so much colder than NC. You know you are old when Your kids turn up the heat so you won’t be cold at night and when they take your bags to the car and you walk to the car with nothing in your hands.
ReplyDeleteWe are home, I worked on a Christmas puzzle and Jeff took Mike out to a bar with Maggie. A good day.
We church this morning. It was 27 degrees when we awaken at 6:15. Brrrrr The sun was shinning as the day moved along, but the wind was biting. I attended Eileen Jefferson’s memorial services at First Pres this afternoon - age 95. Her house was the first John G. brick home. She was a very interesting woman. Lazy day following. Love ya’ll new pillow. Love to all.
