We had a rainy morning and mostly cloudy day with some sun. The lows were in the 60s and highs in the low 70s.
We stuck around the house mostly, but we did go to Beall’s before lunch to look for pillows for the sunroom. John wanted to start there before moving on to Home Goods, leaving the Dunedin bubble. We didn’t find anything we liked.
We took Toby to Stirling Park after lunch to walk. We learned that in a recent Parks and Recreation meeting that the city is proposing to build dedicated pickle ball courts and a dog park on this land, which I think is a great idea. Because it’s within the golf cart boundaries, it shouldn’t increase automobile traffic too much. The money for both projects has already been funded. The plan follows the 2015 community improvement plan.
The proposed plan allows for the three ponds and most of the trees to remain. The dog park will have a small dog and large dog section and a dog wash.
Toby got three little pigs from our Beall’s shopping trip.
After our morning Toby walk, I took a solo walk around the neighborhood, including a trip over the Curlew Creek wooden bridge. I got lucky and dodged the rain.

Dog Park proposal sounds great. Paula/Kevin would love that plan. Thanks for staying in touch. Oh btw Caroline/Burnice expecting their fist child August 1.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed playing tennis in a sleeveless shirt, gym, and a tennis lesson before joining Cathy and Er for dinner. We are thinking about a trip to Paris and maybe the French Riveria for the 40th and our 45th.
