I headed to Weaver Park on my bike after we walked Toby this morning, trying out a new routine. I took my yoga mat, and did stretching for 30 minutes; then I did some chin-ups and dips. I made it home in time for lunch with John, who stayed behind to play his computer game. On the way home, I faced a 15 mph Northeast wind, which meant that I had a stiff headwind no matter where I turned. But I went at my pace and made it home without exhaustion.
The picture above is from my mat, now positioned to catch the morning shade in Weaver Park.
It was 78 degrees when we took Toby on his after lunch walk. The humidity was very low today so that it was almost cool. The sky was spectacular, not a rain cloud in sight. In fact, it hasn’t rained since before the city put down this new asphalt back in early February. The road is covered in bird droppings.
If it weren’t for the city’s reclaimed water system, all our yards would be brown.
I’ve enjoyed the pace of the day: a little biking, a little walking, a little weight lifting, and lots of reading.
I’m over halfway through The Weight of Ink, only 500 pages to go!

We had a productive day at the Apple Store this morning. Our technician found and deleted “the photograph”, located the scammer in Charlotte and deleted that person (this person had Dad’s Face Book account locked up), put in a new pass word for FaceBook. Yea Apple geeks.
ReplyDeleteI shopped for a pair of tennis shoes. My old pair has come through at the toe. More confusion.
We had another cool day but no rain. 👏👏
Paula brought over some BBQ chicken and the best scallop potatoes. I put some butter beans with the warmed up items and we had a feast.
Dad and I joined Grey Stone yesterday.
Liked your new schedule.
Nite nite.
