We drove out to the beach this morning after we walked Toby. We leisurely walked several miles at the north end of Honeymoon Island.
The water was beautiful and cool.
We came upon a grounded sailboat, sans mast, sails, rudder or instruments.
We did see handwritten tally marks inside the cabin in groups of five marking the days, supposedly. It looked like a couple of months’ worth of marks.
Super clear water
A park ranger filling in a hole of unknown origin.
It is very special to have an undeveloped barrier island so easy to get to and enjoy.
John’s picture
I like this picture from John, also. You can see right through the wave.
Another one of John’s pictures.
We saw a couple of dolphins swimming parallel to the island.
The beach was crowded around the parking lots, but less so than when the snowbirds were here in full force.
Our trip to the beach was like a little vacation.
We took Toby to Lake Saundra for a walk after lunch to spare him the heat and sun. The X Games (athletic competition) are going on at Highlander Park this weekend.
We made a late afternoon golf cart ride to Stirling before dinner with Toby. The rest of the afternoon we relaxed.

Great photo of the beach and clear water. I helped Jan again today. We continued to work in linens. Never have I seen so much linens in one house. Diana is helping her Monday. Tuesday we have dental appts and her daughter will be here Wednesday to meet with an estate sale person. This is what they desperately need to happen. Don Carroll/wife called to chat this afternoon. Don was a high school - college friend of Dad’s. Charlotte was my freshman year at Mercer’s most beautiful. Nice to hear from them.
