John’s brother and sister in law left this morning around 9:00. We headed to the causeway on our bikes to walk. It was a cool 69 degrees but it warmed up on our walk. After dinner, we took Toby to Stirling Park in the golf cart and then headed downtown. We walked around a bit and then got back in the golf cart and headed to the marina.
We sat in our cart and watched the boats come in and go out. Toby was transfixed by the scene. He had a lot to look at. The three of us sat still for a solid 30 minutes, a record for us. We breathed in the sea air.
We enjoyed the breeze too.
We talked about having a picnic dinner out here with Toby. It’s such a beautiful spot.
On the way out, we heard a “Hey, guys!” It was a very friendly woman we pass every morning on our Toby walk. She was with her family.
We’ve made plans to have lunch at Carvor’s week after next with two women in the neighborhood. They’ve asked us to do things (kayaking, biking, lunch) and we’re finally getting around to planning something. We like them a lot. We’ve been at the gym at the same time before.
Toby did pretty well with Chris and Dana. He barked the first day, growled the second, but was friendly by the third day. Chris was determined that Toby would like him.
The high today was 85 degrees.
The sunset cruise is heading out for the big event.
It was great to walk on the causeway this morning.
The rest of the day we did laundry, yard work, and cleaned up a bit.

You write so well. Very poetic! Busy afternoon. Louise called twice to check on us. Robin came and camped out the rest of the afternoon. We just had dinner and getting in “our chairs”. Interesting church in the renovated sanctuary. Recessed lighting, laminated flooring, pews replaced with upholstered type seats. Very well done. Special music spectacular.
ReplyDeleteLove to all.
Celebrated Shiloh’s bday today in Floyd, dinner with Ann Doherty. Planning my week ahead which includes canceling a lot of my fun things to drive Jeff and Ann to the Pamlico for them to join George. Turn around Thursday when Er and Alan come to sail with Jeff to the Chesapeake for a week. Trying to fit 5 days into 2. I have plants to plant, tennis, mow, etc.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the three of you in the golf cart. Peru and Toby’s expression is identical.
