Sunday

We took Toby to the causeway this morning before 7:00 a.m. His bumps are better than yesterday but still plentiful. When he wakes up, his bumps are small but as soon as he gets outside, he sneezes and his bumps inflame. They are worse at the end of the day after his last walk.

This is his good side. We took him to Petsmart so that he could walk around inside and get some exercise and stimulation.

He played with his toy unicorn inside.

And slept a lot.

His onesie allergy suit arrived this afternoon in time for us to wash and dry it before his last walk of the day.

It was easy to put on, and he seemed comfortable in it. It’s made out of that stretchy high tech material.

It has a zipper on the bottom. There’s plenty of room for him to pee and poop, as we learned on the walk.

He walked slower and was calmer than normal. We got some looks from passersby.

So far, I’d say it worked. His bumps are small 30 minutes after our walk. I’ve hand washed it so it will be ready for tomorrow morning’s walk. If we can keep his bumps from getting inflamed to begin with each day, then they can start to heal. We ordered two suits, but the second one has been delayed. We got lucky with the sizing: it’s perfect.

Gay Pride parades have been canceled in most places because of Florida’s new laws and fears of lawsuits, but Toby is doing his part to show his colors. And if he gets hurt, no vet will refuse to treat him for being gay, so that’s a plus.

Pictures of the outside from inside. Our Frangipani are blooming.

And hydrangeas and bird of paradise.

Next season’s plays to look forward to.

Chicken salad for dinner
