Saturday

We walked Toby early and drove out to the causeway to walk. We got there at 8:00 and finished up about 9:15 when it was 80 degrees.
There were lots of people out for this holiday weekend, especially in boats.

We picked up some things from the grocery store to help us make it through the long weekend holiday.

We turned around at the tidal bridge to avoid the worst heat.

We took Toby to Stirling Park around 10:00 because he missed his morning poop. This outing did the trick and we were able to avoid the really hot part of the day.

Our magnolia cones are maturing and dropping to the ground. There will be hundreds!

We went to an open house, the first million dollar plus listing in the neighborhood. It has been updated since we saw this house last. It was beautiful, tastefully done in every room. There was a separate walk-in shoe closet in the primary suite.

The salt water pool is new.

Cool fireplace.

Nice kitchen and bathrooms.

The house was bought for $317,000 three years ago and flipped two years ago for $570,000 before the current owners began their remodeling. Complete listing here.

Today's backsplash -- 2 inches by 2 inches; some are shiny and some are flat
I ordered a sample.

We rode in the golf cart to Hammock Park to walk Toby in the shade.

We walked around the butterfly garden.

Our biking and walking miles have come down to a more sustainable amount:
Miles walked in June 153 (5.1 miles per day)
Miles biked in June: 158 (5.3 miles per day)
Yoga and weightlifting four-five hours per week

  1. Enjoyed your blog. Interesting house. VERY PRETTY.

I fertilized my plants, prepared a dish for a SSClass pot luck dinner. Tried to keep it low key. 3 trips to Durham this week kicked our butts. Back tomorrow for church, 4:00 Patriot Music Program followered by a cook out.
