It was a great day to sail, but I'm glad I was on terra firma.
We made it to the causeway to walk at 8:00 when it was 80 degrees with cloud cover and a 7 mph breeze.
We made it back to the house at 9:15.
We had some rain late morning.
The sun came out quickly and dried everything.
After lunch, we took Toby in the golf cart down to the marina.
He was a little disappointed that he didn't get ice cream.
The wind was nice, but it was still hot.
Late afternoon Toby walk
in Stirling Park
Our new Bissell wet vacuum arrived late this afternoon. It is lightweight and easy to operate. Cleaning it afterwards is not that hard, not much more complicated than cleaning a regular vacuum. It's a lot easier than using a mop and bucket. I was able to do all the white tile on one fill-up of fluid. I even went over the kitchen, entryway, and laundry room twice. I also emptied the dirty water only once.
I first vacuumed the floors. These were the same floors that I scrubbed on my hands and knees with baking soda and vinegar the last several days. I still got gunk up with the new vacuum. Amazing. I'll never use a regular mop again.
Pretty floors!
