It rained around midnight last night. The forecast for today calls for thunderstorms. We saw an opportunity mid morning to walk the causeway, so we drove out in the car and walked. We didn't want to get stuck in the rain on our bikes.
It turned out to be beautiful. No rain. Lots of clouds, mostly where it was needed.
We picked up a few items from Publix on the way home and ordered pick up spaghetti from Bambino's. We unpacked the groceries and loaded Toby in the golf cart and picked up our lunch. We've had a lot of thunder and a few sprinkles, mostly sunny though.
Mid-afternoon, it rained hard for an hour or more.
These four new tile samples arrived today. The two on the left are lighter versions of one I ordered earlier. The one on the top left was out of stock. I like it, but John doesn't like the ridge in the middle. The bottom left is the same tile with more variety of color and patterns. He didn't like that one either. The top right is a multi-colored version of the blue tile of the same type that we ordered earlier. He hated this one: too much color variation. The bottom right has a faint pattern on the back; the tiles are all clear, unlike the white version that is very similar that we ordered earlier. It might be too aqua when you think about ten feet of it.
Here are all the samples that we like. (I discarded the ceramic tiles I ordered.) We both like the blue picket tiles, and if the counter and cabinets were not going to be white, we really like the white one on the lower right. I don't think we have a runner up at the moment.
We watched Red, White, and Royal Blue last night on Amazon Prime. It's a movie adaptation of a novel. The son of the first female American president and the second son of the British monarch fall in love and navigate all sorts of complications. It was a sweet story. Some great speeches.
