Leftover Mexican Quinoa with a side of roasted broccoli with fresh dill and a side of beets. Tomato juice for our beverage.
Here's the recipe in case you missed it the first time.
I watched Tearsmith on Netflix last night, a teen romance about finding love after tragedy. Here's a description of what a tearsmith is:
At the beginning of the film, Nica tells the audience the fairytale of a man who created tears. She talks about a place that has been so devoid of emotions that no one cries there anymore. This place is haunted by the soullessness of its people, who eventually become so desperate to feel anything that they turn toward the Tearsmith. The character of the Tearsmith in the story is described as a pale, hunched person who lives in the shadows. It is only when people come to him, asking to make them cry, that he fills their eyes with his own tears and helps them feel things, be it happiness, anger, sorrow, or anything else.
Today, I watched A Beautiful Life, about a fisherman who becomes a pop singer.
Tonight's menu: Bulgur, walnut, spinach with roasted tomatoes
It was a very different taste than what we've been eating, even though, admittedly, all our recent recipes look the same on the plate. This one had mint in it and cinnamon. We added chickpeas and avocado. Dessert consisted of raspberries, blackberries, and honey vanilla yogurt. Of the main dish, John said it was “challenging,” but he meant it in a good way. Our pallets aren’t used to those flavors.

Enjoyed your blog. I admire your food groups. Bravo. I’m trying but no where near your selections.
